About

Hello! I’m Johanna Junolainen, a goldsmith behind JOJUNO. I craft every piece of jewelry in my own studio in Finland.

My roots are Estonian and I grew up in Finland, so my background is a blend of both cultures. From an early age I loved drawing and creativity has felt natural to me ever since. Growing up surrounded by visual art inspired me to bring its influence into my craft. I enjoy exploring shapes and textures until the design feels just right, often gravitating towards a playful yet luxurious feel. My vision for JOJUNO is to make pieces that feel both organic and intentional, small sculptures that carry traces of the hand that made them.

Custom Commissions

I also create bespoke jewelry, crafted individually to reflect your vision. Together, we can shape your ideas into a meaningful and unique piece. The process begins with a conversation about your vision and references, followed by adjustments until the design feels just right. When reaching out for a commission, feel free to share your ideas, preferred materials and any details you would like to incorporate.

Values

I do my best to make conscious choices in my jewelry making. Every piece begins as a hand-carved wax model, later transformed into solid 925 silver or 14K/18K gold through the lost-wax casting process. I work with local partners for casting, source materials from trusted nearby suppliers and use recycled materials whenever possible. I also repair and take care of my tools to extend their life. These small decisions shape every piece, so the jewelry feels honest, beautiful and made to last.
