About
Hello! I’m Johanna Junolainen, the artisan behind Jojuno. I craft every piece of jewelry in my own studio in Finland.
My roots are Estonian and I grew up in Finland, so my background is a blend of both cultures. From an early age I loved drawing and creativity has felt natural to me ever since. Before I became a trained goldsmith, my career began in graphic design. That path shaped my eye for details and balance, which still guides the way I create jewelry today. I enjoy exploring shapes and textures until the design feels just right, often gravitating towards a playful yet luxurious feel. My vision for Jojuno is to make pieces that feel both organic and intentional, objects that carry traces of the hand that made them.
Values
I do my best to make conscious choices in my jewelry making. Every piece begins as a hand-carved wax model, later transformed into solid 925 silver or 14K/18K gold through the lost-wax casting process. I work with local partners for casting, source materials from trusted nearby suppliers and use recycled materials whenever possible. I also repair and take care of my tools to extend their life. These small decisions shape every piece, so the jewelry feels honest, beautiful and made to last.
